Other Information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.

The services comprise the production of a series of reports to ensure that Basildon Borough Council is provided with an up-to-date understanding of the likely permanent and transit accommodationneeds of Gypsies, Travellers and Showpeople in the borough for the plan period up to 2032. These reports need to include robust evidence relating to to spatial distribution of existing sites and identifying how and where any new sites can be located taking on board the views of communities, stakeholders and the Council's objectives.

This is a single stage procurement. The service is required for completion by late May / early June 2013 with the submission of a final report and a presentation to Council Officers and the Local Development Framework Advisory Group.
