Basildon Borough Council (the "Council") wishes to select a supplier to carry out the supply of temporary street scene agency staff who are where necessary, experienced, capable, competent and hold appropriate formal qualifications or certification appropriate to the tasks which they maybe asked to perform, trained in manual handling and properly equipped with appropriate protective clothing as agreed with the Council. The Council will require the following temporary placements Waste Collection Operatives (Loaders), Waste Collection Operative (Street Cleaners), Grounds Maintenance Operatives and Building Cleaners. In order to uphold the principles of an open, transparent, and proportionate competitive process and to achieve value for money, the Council has advertised this contract on its own website following notification to OJEU via BiP Solution portal. The service being procured is considered as Part B under the 2006 Public Regulations (as amended) and is therefore not fully subject to those regulations.
